Draft HubSpot follow-ups from deal history

What this does
Anthropic’s launch article says Claude Duet can draft follow-up emails using the contact and deal history in HubSpot. HubSpot is also named among the connectors in the Claude Duet help article. You connect HubSpot yourself. The help center says Claude Duet is designed to wait for your approval before it sends a message. The draft is not a sent email.
Problem
The call was yesterday. HubSpot already has the stage, the last activity, and the open tasks. Copying them into an email by hand is slow, and a generic follow-up ignores them. The costly version is the one that sends itself.
This case is one draft from that history. It is designed to hold the send. It is not an outbound sequence, and it does not replace the person who owns the deal.
What Anthropic documents
The launch article says Claude Duet can draft follow-up emails using the contact and deal history in HubSpot. Before it sends a message, pays, signs, or deletes, it shows you what it is about to do and waits. A follow-up is a message. The wait applies. The article also says it may misread a thread. A deal note is a thread it can misread.
The help center names HubSpot under “Connect your apps,” with Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Slack, QuickBooks, Docusign, and Calendly. You start every connection. You can disconnect any app. Disconnecting stops new access. Memory of earlier conversations is kept.
The same article says Claude Duet is designed to await your approval before sending a message. With approval, it can send email from accounts you connected. It does not make phone calls or text other people. Some connectors, such as Slack, work with limits. Those limits are Slack’s. They belong to inbox triage, not to this draft. Microsoft 365 is not available yet, so this case does not treat Outlook as a send path. Gmail is the mailbox the help center names.
What the sources support

|---|---|
| Draft follow-up emails using the contact and deal history in HubSpot | Launch article |
| HubSpot is listed as a connector example | Help center, “Connect your apps” |
| Designed to ask before sending a message | Help center. The launch article states the same wait. |

How this differs from clearing the inbox
Inbox triage starts in Gmail or Slack. This case starts from a HubSpot contact and deal, then drafts one follow-up from facts already there: last stage, last activity, open tasks. If a fact is missing, the prompt says to name the gap. Both still wait for your approval before a send.
A LinkedIn job post, a meeting brief, and invoice reminders are other drafts you approve. After a call is booked, this draft is the follow-up. Booking the meeting is Schedule a meeting. Alternatives compares agents. It is not a CRM guide. Shared limits are on About.
Limits
The sources do not describe blast campaigns, unattended drips, automatic HubSpot field edits, or a deliverability guarantee. The prompt forbids a send and a field change until you approve that action. A wrong stage in the draft is a reason to reject it.
The prompt is a community template, not an official Anthropic prompt. This page is not affiliated with HubSpot.

Steps
- 1Connect HubSpot yourself in Claude settings. You start the connection, and you can disconnect it later.
- 2Connect a mailbox only if you want a send from one the help center names, such as Gmail. Microsoft 365 is not available yet.
- 3Name the contact or deal, or paste the deal URL or ID. Paste the prompt and ask for one draft.
- 4Compare the draft with HubSpot. If a stage, date, or task is missing, the draft should say so instead of guessing.
- 5Edit, then approve a send only if you want it sent. Do not approve a HubSpot field change unless that is the step you intend.
Using my connected HubSpot account, open the contact and deal I name next. Draft one short follow-up email that uses only facts present in that HubSpot history (last stage, last activity, open tasks). If something is missing, say what is missing instead of guessing. Show the draft and wait. Do not send the email and do not change HubSpot fields until I approve a specific action.
When to use
- An open deal already has real history in HubSpot, and you still own the tone and the timing.
- You closed a call or a note yesterday and want one follow-up that cites that record, not a generic template.
- You will read the draft against the CRM before anything is sent.
FAQ
Can Claude Duet draft HubSpot follow-up emails?
Anthropic’s launch article says Claude Duet can draft follow-up emails using the contact and deal history in HubSpot. HubSpot is also named among the connectors in the Claude Duet help article. You connect HubSpot yourself in Claude settings.
Will those follow-ups send while I am away?
The help center says Claude Duet is designed to show you what it is about to do and wait for your approval before it sends a message. Keep send behind your review even when the draft cites HubSpot fields.
How is this different from inbox triage?
Inbox triage on this site focuses on clearing or drafting from email. This case starts from HubSpot contact and deal history, then drafts a follow-up you approve. Both still wait on your send approval, as Anthropic describes it.
Which apps do I connect?
HubSpot, yourself. Add a mailbox only if you want a send from an account the help center actually lists, such as Gmail. Microsoft 365 is not available yet. Slack’s connector limits are a separate constraint and do not change this draft.
Does Anthropic describe bulk sequences or automatic CRM edits?
No. The launch sentence is about drafting follow-up emails from contact and deal history. It does not describe blast campaigns, a guaranteed inbox placement, or an agent that rewrites HubSpot fields on its own. This template forbids those guesses.
Is this an official Anthropic prompt?
No. It is a community message written to match the launch article. Anthropic does not publish this wording.
Claude Duet is a research preview. It can misread a thread or misjudge what is urgent. Review every draft and approval before you confirm it.
