Schedule a meeting with Calendly — Claude Duet
duetcases.com is an unofficial community site. It is not affiliated with Anthropic or Calendly. Duet may be a trademark of Anthropic.
What this does
Anthropic’s product page says Claude Duet can set up a meeting after you send a message. The help center lists Calendly among connectors you connect yourself, and the launch article includes scheduling meetings among tasks you can hand off. Claude Duet is designed to wait for your approval before sending a message. Unofficial community template; not affiliated with Anthropic or Calendly.
Problem
Scheduling eats the hour you meant to spend on the work. The costly failure is an invite that goes out wrong, or too early, while you are in another thread.
This case is approval-first scheduling. Claude Duet can propose times, draft an invite, or work through Calendly or Google Calendar after you connect them. The send waits. It does not book the first open slot on its own, and it does not text the guests.
What Anthropic documents
The product page says you can send a message and Claude Duet sets up a meeting, then lets you know when it is done. That is the handoff. It is not a promise that the invite leaves without you.
The launch article includes scheduling meetings among tasks of all shapes you can hand off. Before a send, a payment, a signature, or a deletion, it shows you what it is about to do and waits. An invite is a message. The wait applies. The preview can misread a thread.
The help center names Calendly under “Connect your apps,” with Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Slack, QuickBooks, HubSpot, and Docusign. You start every connection. You can disconnect anytime. Disconnecting stops new access. Memory of earlier conversations is kept.
The same article says Claude Duet is designed to await your approval before sending a message. It does not make phone calls or send text messages to other people. With your approval, it can send email from accounts you connected. It checks connected accounts at set intervals, so something urgent can arrive between checks. Microsoft 365 is not available yet. This case does not treat Outlook as a calendar path.
Calendly claims on this page come only from those Anthropic pages. A check of public posts on 2026-10-23 did not find a Calendly-specific post to cite, so none is cited. The Claude account’s research-preview announcement is launch context, not proof of a Calendly integration: Claude on X.
How this differs from a meeting brief
Pull a company brief before a meeting assumes the meeting is already on the calendar. This page is how you get it there: proposed times, a draft invite, or a Calendly note, then your approval before anything is sent.
If the connected account is Google Calendar, and the job is events or open time rather than a Calendly link, use Check Google Calendar and draft an event. This page stays on Calendly-led scheduling.
A morning brief and inbox triage still wait before a reply goes out. After the call is booked, a HubSpot follow-up is the sales draft, not the booking. Shared limits are on About.
Limits
Do not read this as “book the first open slot without me,” as a text to the guests, or as a Microsoft 365 calendar. The sources do not say those things. A wrong time zone in the draft is a reason to reject the send.
The prompt is a community template, not an official Anthropic prompt. This page is not affiliated with Calendly.

Steps
- 1Connect Calendly, Google Calendar, or both yourself in Claude settings. You start every connection, and you can disconnect it later.
- 2State the attendees, the duration, the timezone, and any hard blackout. Missing constraints stay gaps.
- 3Paste the community prompt. Ask for draft times and invite text first. A draft is not a sent invite.
- 4Approve only the send you intend. Do not treat a proposed slot as booked until you confirm that step.
Using my connected [Calendly / Google Calendar], propose times for a [duration] meeting with [attendees] about [topic]. Respect [timezone / blackout windows]. Draft the invite or Calendly note. Do not send the invite, publish a Calendly link to attendees, or modify existing events until I edit the draft and approve that specific send step.
When to use
- You already use Calendly or Google Calendar, and you will still confirm the invite.
- You want proposed times or a Calendly-backed draft, not a silent rewrite of the calendar.
- The meeting is not on the calendar yet. A brief for a meeting that is already booked is a different case.
FAQ
Can Claude Duet schedule a meeting?
Anthropic’s product page says you can send a message and Claude Duet sets up a meeting, then shares when it’s done. The launch article lists scheduling meetings among tasks you can hand off. Connect calendar tools yourself first.
Does Claude Duet work with Calendly?
The Claude Help Center article “Get started with Claude Duet” names Calendly among connectors such as Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Slack, QuickBooks, HubSpot, and Docusign. You start the connection yourself and can disconnect anytime.
Will it send the invite without asking?
The same help article says Claude Duet is designed to show you what it is about to do and wait for your approval before it sends a message, makes a payment, signs a document, or deletes anything. Treat invite sends as yours to confirm.
Will it text the guests or call them?
No. The help center says Claude Duet does not make phone calls or send text messages to other people. With approval, it can send email from a connected account.
How is this different from a meeting brief?
This page is about getting the meeting onto the calendar. The meeting-brief case prepares a short brief for a meeting that is already there.
Is this an official Anthropic prompt?
No. It is a community message written to match the product page, the launch article, and the help center. Anthropic does not publish this wording.
Claude Duet is a research preview. It can misread a thread or misjudge what is urgent. Review every draft and approval before you confirm it.
