Check QuickBooks and draft invoices or reminders

What this does
Anthropic’s help center says Claude Duet can use apps you already connected in Claude, and it names QuickBooks in that list. The launch article says Duet can check Intuit QuickBooks or Stripe for unpaid invoices and draft reminders. A Claude Marketplace connector page describes a wider QuickBooks toolkit. Sending waits for your approval. Moving money between accounts stays off limits even with approval. This page is not a hands-on test.
Problem
Unpaid invoices are one QuickBooks job. A period’s receivables, or a draft invoice, is a different ask, and it still stops before money moves.
Anthropic’s help center says Claude Duet can use the apps you have already connected in Claude. The examples include Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Slack, QuickBooks, HubSpot, Docusign, and Calendly. You start every connection yourself, and you can disconnect any app later. Disconnecting stops new access from that moment. Memory of earlier conversations is kept.
The launch article names one QuickBooks job in that list of business workflows: check Intuit QuickBooks or Stripe for unpaid invoices and draft reminders. The help center’s example request is the Stripe wording: “Check Stripe for unpaid invoices and draft reminder emails for me to approve.” Stripe is also a partner path on that help page, and the help center says that path uses the Stripe connector, which is separate from Link.

What the Marketplace page describes
The Intuit QuickBooks connector page is a Claude Marketplace page. It is not a Claude Duet screen guide. Its description says the connector can analyze profitability, cash flow, and balance-sheet health, benchmark against similar businesses, show accounts-receivable and accounts-payable aging, and break down sales by customer or product. It says the connector can create, update, send, duplicate, and schedule invoices and estimates, add customers and products, and generate and send payment links and reminders, with a clear preview and your confirmation before anything is sent. It also describes read-only answers on payroll and QuickBooks Capital, looking up payroll details, adding an employee or setting base pay when you need to, and checking Capital loans and peer lending benchmarks.
That page lists tool names under those descriptions. This page does not copy that list into a Duet click-path. The same page says to use connectors only from developers you trust, and that Anthropic does not control which tools developers make available and cannot verify that they will work as intended or that they will not change.
Payroll hours, bonuses, and reimbursements in the launch article are a Gusto workflow: Prepare a Gusto payroll for review. This page does not treat the QuickBooks connector’s payroll lines as that Gusto job.
What stays with you
Before it sends a message, makes a payment, signs a document, or deletes anything, the help center and the launch article say Claude Duet is designed to show you what it is about to do and wait. If you cannot approve right away, the help center says it finishes the rest of the task and brings the approval back later. When it gives you a number or a summary, it tells you which email, file, or spreadsheet it came from.
Moving money between accounts stays off limits even with approval. Trading securities and accessing someone else’s account stay off limits too. This page does not describe charging a customer, debiting an account, or collecting a payment. A payment link on the Marketplace page is that page’s description of the Claude connector, with a preview and confirmation before a send. It is not a way around the rule on moving funds.
Reminder drafts for a connected Stripe or QuickBooks account are Draft reminders for unpaid invoices. Purchases through Link or Shop Pay are a different path, connected inside Claude Duet rather than from the general connectors directory: Buy with Link or Shop Pay. The named-app directory is connectors.
Claude Duet is a research preview. It can misread a record. This page did not run the task.

Steps
- 1Connect Intuit QuickBooks yourself in Claude settings. Claude Duet reuses that connection. You can disconnect it later. Disconnecting stops new access; memory of earlier conversations is kept.
- 2Name the company or books and the period. Paste the prompt. Ask for the figures you want, and for the source of each number.
- 3Read the draft against QuickBooks. The help center says that when Claude Duet gives you a number or a summary, it tells you which email, file, or spreadsheet it came from. It can still misread a record.
- 4If the next step would send an invoice, a reminder, or any other message, read that approval before you confirm it. Moving money between accounts stays off limits even if you approve it.
Look in my connected Intuit QuickBooks account for [company or books] over [period]. List unpaid invoices and, if that connected data includes them, a short receivables note and a profit-and-loss or cash-flow summary for that period. Name the source of each figure. Draft any invoice or reminder and wait for my approval before sending. Do not charge anyone, collect a payment, debit an account, or move money between accounts. If QuickBooks is not connected, stop and tell me.
When to use
- Intuit QuickBooks is already connected in Claude, or you are willing to connect it yourself.
- You want a books lookup or a draft invoice or reminder, and you will check the source figures before anything is sent.
- You do not want an agent to collect, charge, debit, or move money.
FAQ
Is this the same page as invoice reminders?
No. Draft reminders for unpaid invoices covers a connected Stripe or QuickBooks account and reminder drafts. This page is the QuickBooks page. It keeps that reminder job and adds only what the Claude Marketplace connector page describes, labeled as that page.
Does Claude Duet collect the payment?
The help center and the launch article say moving money between accounts stays off limits even with approval. The help center’s Stripe example, and the launch line for QuickBooks or Stripe, stop at a draft reminder for you to approve. This page does not describe charging, debiting, or collecting.
Are the Marketplace tools a Duet screen?
No. The Intuit QuickBooks page in the Claude Marketplace describes the connector, including reports, invoices, and reminders that wait for a preview and confirmation. Anthropic’s note on that page says it does not control which tools the developer offers and cannot verify that they work as intended. Duet’s get-started article says Duet reuses apps you already connected in Claude. This page does not turn that tool list into a verified Duet click-path.
Is the Stripe connector the same as Link?
No. The help center says the Stripe invoice path uses the Stripe connector, which is separate from Link. Link and Shop Pay are for purchases you approve. They are not this QuickBooks page.
Claude Duet is a research preview. It can misread a thread or misjudge what is urgent. Review every draft and approval before you confirm it.
