## What this does

Claude Duet can check a connected Stripe or QuickBooks account for unpaid invoices and draft reminder emails for you to approve. It does not move money, and the Stripe connector is not the same thing as Link.

## Problem

Chasing unpaid invoices is the same email written many times, and it is easy to send the wrong one.

The [help center](https://support.claude.com/en/articles/17631495-get-started-with-claude-duet) uses this as an example of what you can ask: “Check Stripe for unpaid invoices and draft reminder emails for me to approve.” The [launch article](https://claude.com/resources/articles/claude-duet) says the same kind of job can run against QuickBooks or Stripe. Both pages stop at a draft for you to approve. They do not say Claude Duet collects the money.

Two limits matter here. Moving money between accounts stays off limits even with approval. And the Stripe connector is not Link: the launch article describes Link and Shop Pay as a separate way to make purchases, with an approval on each one. This case does not cover that purchase flow. It is [Buy with Link or Shop Pay](/workflow/link-shop-pay).

A QuickBooks page for the connected books, and for what the Claude Marketplace connector page describes, is [Check QuickBooks and draft invoices or reminders](/workflow/quickbooks). This page stays on unpaid invoices and reminder drafts.

## Steps

1. Connect Stripe or QuickBooks yourself. Anthropic names both for unpaid invoices. You start the connection; Claude Duet does not connect an account you have not added.
2. Paste the prompt. Say which account to use if both are connected, and what tone the reminder should take.
3. Read the list against the source app. Claude Duet can misread a record.
4. Edit each draft. Sending email is held for your approval. Charging a customer, or moving money between accounts, is off limits even if you approve it.
5. Keep the Stripe connector separate from Link. Link and Shop Pay are for purchases that each ask for approval. They are not this invoice workflow. That purchase flow is its own case.

## Prompt

```
Check my connected Stripe or QuickBooks account for unpaid invoices. List who owes what, and how late each invoice is if the data shows it. Draft a short reminder email for each one and wait for my approval before sending. Do not charge anyone, refund anyone, or move money. If you are using the Stripe connector, do not treat it as Link or Shop Pay.
```

## When to use

- Unpaid invoices already live in Stripe or QuickBooks.
- You want drafts, and you will send them yourself after reading.
- You do not want an agent to collect or transfer money.

## FAQ

### Is the wording from Anthropic?

The help center’s example request is: “Check Stripe for unpaid invoices and draft reminder emails for me to approve.” The launch article also names QuickBooks or Stripe for unpaid invoices and reminder drafts.

### Can it take the payment?

No. Anthropic says moving money between accounts stays off limits even with approval. This template also tells Claude Duet not to charge or refund anyone.

### Is the Stripe connector the same as Link?

No. The launch article treats the Stripe connector and Link as different things. Link and Shop Pay ask for approval on each purchase. They are not how this case drafts invoice reminders.
